The picturesque landscape of Wildwood came alive with laughter, scrumptious treats, and heartwarming moments during our much-awaited Father's Day Bush High Tea event. With sittings on both Saturday and Sunday, we ensured that everyone got the chance to indulge in this unforgettable experience.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous feast curated by the talented Cherry Moon team, known for their culinary expertise at esteemed restaurants like Tetsuyas, Rockpool, and Kitchen by Mike. But the highlight of this indulgent menu was the fact that all meats were sourced from regenerative farmers at Rosewood KV, while the fresh vegetables came straight from the Valley's local farms. Even the honey used in our delightful honey cake was locally harvested! This culinary extravaganza left everyone satiated with savoury and sweet delights.
Our traditional landowners welcomed guests with open arms and guided them through Wildwood's beautiful grounds. They shared their wisdom about bush foods and the rich history of the land, creating a deep connection with the essence of the surroundings.
Father's Day wouldn't be complete without some refreshing libations! Kangaroo Valley Fine Wines & Craft Ales, along with our own billy tea, lemonades, and wild hibiscus mimosas, offered a delightful range of beverages. The soothing cocktails and carefully selected wines and beers perfectly complemented the ambiance.
The event was brought to life by the entertaining presence of local bush poet Stoney Broke, whose words carried the spirit of the bush. And who could forget the special guest appearance of the charming Hephner the Alpaca, winning hearts with his endearing presence.
For the fathers who are masters of the grill, Kevin from Smokin' Gauchos shared his expertise on the perfect wood-fired BBQ and showcased his handcrafted knife setup. Sipping on whiskeys from local distilleries and brewers added a touch of warmth to the celebration.
Wildwood's beautiful floral arrangements adorned the surroundings, adding a touch of elegance to the day. Guests also enjoyed games on the lawn, creating wonderful memories with their loved ones. A chance to tour Wildwood House and visit the enchanting fairy bower down by the creek made this day even more magical.
In the spirit of gratitude and giving back, we pledged to plant a tree in Australia for every ticket bought. This collective effort allowed us to make a positive impact on the environment while celebrating cherished moments with friends and family.
